About the role

Responsibilities:
- Implement moderate to complex platform features using agile practices, producing secure, performant, and well-tested code.
- Turn high-level problem statements into working prototypes and production-ready solutions with a high degree of independence.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose failures across production and non-production environments; participate in incident resolution.
- Collaborate across teams (product, QA, ops) to deliver features and improvements; participate in pair programming and design reviews.
- Continuously improve engineering practices, test coverage, and delivery pipelines while embracing responsible use of AI and data-driven insights.

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Core Java expertise and strong object-oriented design skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Dublin at least 2 days per week (flexible for peak periods).
- Passion for code quality, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Nice-to-have: knowledge of Kotlin, Python, Bash; experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity), testing frameworks (JUnit, Karate), and quality tools (JaCoCo, SonarQube).
- Familiarity with web services (REST, SOAP) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.
- Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to learn and apply modern engineering practices.
