Responsibilities:
- Own design and delivery of services in the messaging platform that support high-volume campaign processing and delivery.
- Lead performance and scalability efforts: load testing, bottleneck remediation and capacity planning toward billion-message scale.
- Drive cross-team collaboration on architecture, deployment practices and operational runbooks; improve observability and SLOs.
- Mentor engineers, run design reviews, contribute to hiring and raise engineering standards across the team.

Requirements:
- 4–6+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of complex production systems.
- Strong system design skills and hands-on experience debugging distributed performance issues.
- Familiarity with the tech stack (Python/Django, messaging systems like Pulsar/Zookeeper, MySQL, Redis, AWS, Terraform) and observability tooling.
- Experience mentoring peers, participating in interviews and contributing to engineering process improvements.
- Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across product, infra and operations teams.
