Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend services and APIs to support billing and energy-market workflows.
- Build and evolve database schemas, queries, and ORM layers (Drizzle or similar) on PostgreSQL.
- Scale services and architecture to handle growing transaction volumes and distributed workloads.
- Integrate payment and billing systems (Stripe) and ensure end-to-end reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture decisions, incident response, and mentor teammates.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of production backend experience using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Strong PostgreSQL knowledge and experience with ORM-based data access (Drizzle or equivalent).
- Experience building backend services with Next.js (API routes/server components).
- Familiarity with distributed systems, scalability patterns, and observability practices.
- Experience with Stripe integrations and billing workflows.
- Solid computer science fundamentals and demonstrable technical ownership.
- German fluency (C1+) and strong communication skills.
