Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy ML and quantitative models for operational retail supply-chain problems (forecasting, optimization, scheduling).
- Turn ambiguous business problems into production-ready solutions and reproducible pipelines.
- Work with noisy, complex datasets to engineer features, validate models, and monitor performance in production.
- Use agentic AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate development and automation.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to integrate models into services and operational workflows.
- Communicate results, trade-offs, and deployment plans to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 5–10+ years of technical experience in ML, engineering, or quantitative roles; title may vary.
- Strong quantitative foundation (rigorous mathematics/quantitative degree or equivalent depth).
- Hands-on experience shipping production ML systems and writing production-quality code.
- Daily experience with agentic AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar).
- Comfortable operating in early-stage, zero-to-one startup environments and iterating quickly.
- Able to work with ambiguity, evolving data, and tight operational constraints; Berlin-based or willing to relocate.
