Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain core backend services for permissions, auditability, traceability, and observability.
- Design and operate deployment architectures for both hosted and self-hosted environments using IaC (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Improve production reliability, performance, security, and monitoring; own incident response and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and ML teams to ship features while preserving quality and operational guarantees.
- Apply AI-native development practices to integrate LLMs/ML pipelines safely and efficiently into backend workflows.
Requirements:
- 1–6 years of professional backend development experience.
- Production experience with TypeScript and NestJS, and relational databases (PostgreSQL) with Prisma.
- Hands-on experience managing deployments with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar IaC tools.
- Demonstrated work improving reliability, observability, security, or performance in production systems.
- Practical exposure to AI/ML systems, LLMs, or AI-native architectures.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; willingness to work on-site in Berlin.
