Responsibilities:
- Design and execute tests for backend services: APIs, database queries, and integrations.
- Validate REST API behavior and performance using Postman, Swagger or similar tools.
- Test and verify data integrity, SQL queries and migrations on PostgreSQL or similar DBs.
- Build and maintain automated backend test suites and integration tests.
- Review pull requests and collaborate with engineers to ensure test coverage and code quality.
- Participate in infrastructure reviews to identify reliability or performance risks.
- Log, track and communicate defects and test results using TestRail or equivalent.
- Work with product and engineering to improve testing strategy and release quality.

Requirements:
- ~2–3 years of experience in backend testing, QA or backend development-in-test roles.
- Practical experience with Node.js and TypeScript in backend environments.
- Strong SQL skills and experience validating PostgreSQL queries and data integrity.
- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs with Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Experience writing automated tests and integrating them into CI pipelines.
- Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail) and defect tracking processes.
- Good collaboration skills and a focus on improving reliability and maintainability.
