Responsibilities:
- Own architecture, design, implementation, deployment and long-term evolution of developer platform and AI tooling.
- Lead multi-quarter initiatives: break large projects into milestones, deliver iterative, measurable improvements.
- Build and operate systems for developer productivity: CI/CD, testing infrastructure, observability, engineering metrics, and code-quality automation.
- Drive adoption and integration of AI-assisted developer capabilities across engineering teams.
- Define technical direction, anticipate scale and maintainability challenges, and propose scalable solutions.
- Partner with engineering leadership on roadmap, trade-offs, and technical strategy.
- Mentor engineers through design collaboration, code reviews, and technical guidance.
- Own operational health: monitoring, incident response, maintenance, iteration, and safe deprecation.
- Ensure reliable, secure, and maintainable integrations with third-party APIs and SaaS.
Requirements:
- 7+ years professional software engineering experience, including 2–3+ years at Senior or Staff level.
- Strong hands-on experience building and operating developer platforms, CI/CD systems, observability/metrics, testing infra, or related tooling.
- Proven ability to deliver infrastructure or tooling that measurably improves developer productivity or delivery metrics.
- Deep backend/architecture skills: APIs, scalable systems, deployment patterns, and monitoring.
- Experience with security, SaaS integrations, and operational ownership.
- Strong communication, technical leadership, and mentorship capabilities.
- Comfortable working autonomously on long-running, cross-team projects and measuring impact.
