Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a Core Platform team responsible for the workflow engine and frontend platform; hire, onboard and grow engineers.
- Coach and mentor engineers to raise ownership, technical decision-making and engineering quality across backend and frontend concerns.
- Drive platform evolution: durable workflow execution, orchestration, queue/task distribution, state handling, data architecture and canvas/frontend foundations.
- Make/prioritise technical trade-offs around scalability, reliability, modularity and maintainability for cloud and self‑hosted deployments.
- Partner with Product, Design and other stakeholders to translate complex platform problems into clear plans and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure observability, rollout safety and robust testing practices; foster cross-team collaboration and remote-first culture.

Requirements:
- 2+ years of first-line engineering management experience and a strong software engineering background.
- Proven experience with distributed systems, platform engineering or workflow orchestration; familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js and frontend platforms is a plus.
- Track record of hiring, shaping teams, and enabling engineers to make sound technical decisions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to align platform priorities with product and business goals.
- Comfortable working remotely across time zones and supporting cloud and self-hosted environments.
