Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate secure-by-design AWS cloud and platform services to support high-volume public-facing digital services.
- Enable delivery teams to run Java Spring Boot backends and serverless applications by providing CI/CD pipelines, IaC and release orchestration.
- Lead migration from legacy estates (AIX, Oracle, Natural/Adabas) to API-led architectures while maintaining continuity and resilience.
- Implement engineering guardrails: least-privilege IAM, tagging, observability frameworks and automated testing to reduce MTTR.
- Troubleshoot complex incidents, translate architecture into operable systems and collaborate with architects and product teams.

Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering secure, scalable cloud/platform services in large government or enterprise environments.
- Practitioner-level capability in systems design, integration and troubleshooting (GDS/Government frameworks preferred).
- Strong AWS knowledge and hands-on experience with IaC and configuration tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines, observability, IAM, and migration strategies from legacy systems.
- Eligibility for BPSS/SC clearance, good communication skills and a track record of working in multidisciplinary agile teams.
