Payments Data Analyst at Mayflower

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze payment performance across merchants, processors, payment methods and markets.
- Track approval rates, decline patterns, routing success, retry/cascading effectiveness and 3DS performance.
- Perform deep-dive analyses across dimensions (processor, BIN, scheme, country, merchant) to identify trends and anomalies.
- Measure the impact of product changes, processor integrations, routing updates and A/B experiments.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to Product, Merchant Solutions and Exec teams.
- Define, monitor and improve key payment and product KPIs; investigate root causes and recommend remediation.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Engineers and ML specialists to prioritize and validate optimizations.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:
- 4+ years in a data or product analyst role (payments, fintech or related preferred).
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and window functions.
- Proficiency with BI tools (Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and Python for analysis (Pandas, Jupyter).
- Experience working with large datasets and translating analyses into clear business recommendations.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with payment processing concepts, orchestration and PSP integrations is a plus.
