Responsibilities:
- Own compute infrastructure changes end-to-end for VPS, Cloud Dedicated, storage and bare metal products: spec, implement, validate, deploy and operate in production.
- Build and maintain Linux-based cloud compute infrastructure and KVM virtualization environments; ensure reliability and scalability.
- Automate provisioning, configuration and operations using Ansible/Puppet and IaC practices; create reproducible, auditable workflows.
- Run validation and monitoring suites to prove changes are correct; lead incident response and post-incident remediation.
- Reduce operational toil by automating routine tasks and improving observability and runbooks.
- Collaborate with product, SRE and support teams; mentor peers and document system behaviour and known failure modes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Linux administration, cloud infrastructure and KVM/virtualization technologies.
- Practical experience with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet), automation and infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong production operations skills: monitoring, incident response, debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Comfortable working with storage and networking stacks that underpin compute services.
- Ability to write clear specifications, verify outputs (including AI-assisted code) and own on-call responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills for distributed team collaboration and technical documentation.
