Responsibilities:
- Lead Anthropic’s global privacy policy strategy for AI data governance, model training, and privacy-preserving deployment.
- Translate complex regulatory frameworks into clear, actionable product guidance for legal, research, and product teams.
- Define and drive high-priority privacy initiatives (legislative engagement, white papers, industry coalitions).
- Build and manage relationships with regulators, policymakers, civil society, academics, and industry partners across jurisdictions.
- Monitor emerging privacy laws and frameworks; identify business risks and opportunities and advise leadership.
- Produce engagement materials that explain Anthropic’s privacy approach to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:
- 8+ years in privacy policy, with significant experience in technology companies or emerging tech policy work.
- Deep knowledge of global privacy regimes (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and how they apply to AI systems.
- Technical fluency with privacy-preserving techniques (differential privacy, federated learning, data minimization) and model training workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with legal, product, research, and GTM teams and to influence without authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous 0→1 environments and setting strategy while driving implementation.
