Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate multi-account AWS network architectures (VPCs, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Direct Connect, VPNs).
- Implement and maintain networking services: Route 53, CloudFront, ELB/ALB, Network Firewall and WAF.
- Develop, review and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) for repeatable, tested deployments.
- Automate operational tasks, CI/CD and configuration using Python or Go where appropriate.
- Ensure high-availability connectivity for critical financial middleware and partner integrations.
- Create runbooks, monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures; perform on-call duties.
- Collaborate with development teams to enable secure networking patterns and improve DevOps practices.
- Contribute to cost, security and capacity planning for network infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Several years hands-on AWS networking experience (EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Route 53, CloudFront, ELB).
- Strong Terraform experience and working knowledge of IaC best practices and testing.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (Python or Go) for automation and tooling.
- Solid understanding of VPNs, Direct Connect, routing, NAT, security groups and network ACLs.
- Experience with monitoring, logging and incident management in production environments.
- Good communication skills in English; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Based in Berlin or Munich; ability to contribute to on-call rota and production incident handling.
