Responsibilities:
- Design and build the company's data platform from zero to production: ingestion pipelines, data warehouse, core models and semantic layer.
- Implement reliable, low-latency data flows for batch and streaming use cases to support analytics and AI agents.
- Define and enforce security, governance and auditability for data access (fine-grained permissions, logging, regulator-ready controls).
- Partner with product, engineering and business teams to map sources, translate needs into models and deliver self-serve tooling.
- Ship usable primitives (tables, views, catalogs, ETL/ELT jobs) and embed observability and testing into the data stack.

Requirements:
- 3+ years building data infrastructure and pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and modern warehouses (Snowflake, ClickHouse, Redshift or similar).
- Strong SQL, ETL/ELT experience and familiarity with orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, or equivalent) and streaming systems a plus.
- Practical experience designing semantic layers, data modeling and production data quality processes.
- Comfortable working in regulated industries (fintech/banking/payments) and implementing audit/security controls.
- Excellent cross-team communication and ability to own end-to-end delivery; willingness to work on-site in Berlin or relocate.
