Responsibilities:
- Own security engineering end-to-end across application, infrastructure, and incident response.
- Partner with product and platform teams to embed security checkpoints into design, build, and release processes (SSDLC enforcement).
- Harden cloud and CI/CD paths: workload identity, secret management, IaC safeguards, and runtime audit logging.
- Build and operate detection & response: monitoring, alerting, SIEM/SOAR integration, playbooks, and automated remediation where appropriate.
- Design, deliver, and maintain security automation (code fixes, PRs, triage pipelines) to reduce noise and speed remediation.
- Lead incident response and postmortems; drive closure with clear risk tradeoffs and measurable risk reduction.
- Produce control-evidence reporting for Security & Compliance and iterate on security baselines.
Requirements:
- Proven hands-on experience in security engineering, product security, or cloud security in production environments (5+ years preferred).
- Strong practical skills with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD systems, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), and workload identity patterns.
- Experience building detection and response capabilities, SIEM/SOAR integrations, alert triage, and automated remediation.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, TypeScript, or similar) for security automation and tool development.
- Familiarity with regulated fintech/payments/banking environments, compliance reporting, and risk-based decision making.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to define and enforce SSDLC checkpoints and lead cross-team initiatives.
