(Senior) Data Engineer (m/f/x) at Scalable GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate scalable, cloud-based data pipelines and a lakehouse on AWS to support analytics, regulatory reporting and AI use cases.
- Ingest and integrate data from internal services and third parties, transform and prepare structured/unstructured data for downstream use.
- Develop high-quality data models, ETL/ELT workflows and implement testing, monitoring and alerting to guarantee data reliability.
- Collaborate with product, analytics and engineering teams to enable data-driven decisions and deliver production-ready datasets.
- Maintain and evolve data platform tooling, automation and best practices.

Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, mathematics or related field and significant hands-on data engineering experience.
- Strong experience with AWS data services and building pipelines (Python, SQL, PySpark) and familiarity with dbt.
- Proven skills with orchestration and infra tooling (Airflow/Dagster, Terraform) and streaming tech (Kafka/Kinesis/Flink/Spark Streaming).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, observability and testing practices for production data systems.
