About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design and build client-facing web applications using React, TypeScript and Next.js with attention to security, accessibility and performance.
- Author and evolve GraphQL schemas, queries and fragments; contribute to federated GraphQL services and API contracts.
- Develop and maintain a shared component library and UI patterns to ensure consistency and reuse across products.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend and Data teams to turn complex financial workflows into intuitive user journeys.
- Implement automated frontend tests, observability, and performance monitoring; participate in code reviews and mentorship.
- Use modern AI tooling where appropriate to improve product features and engineering workflows.

Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript and Next.js in production applications.
- Practical knowledge of GraphQL (schema design, queries/mutations) and federated service patterns.
- Experience building and maintaining component libraries, accessible UIs and automated frontend tests.
- Familiarity with frontend performance optimisation, SSR/SSG and security/data-privacy constraints in finance.
- Product-minded, able to balance rapid delivery with scalable architecture, and comfortable working in regulated environments.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; willingness to mentor and contribute to engineering excellence.
