Senior Data Platform Engineer (all genders) - Data Lake Platform at MOIA GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Enable internal teams to access and extract value from company data using platform tools and automation.
- Govern and provision Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio for teams to work independently.
- Build, operate, and optimize AWS serverless data infrastructure (S3, Lambda, Kinesis, Data Firehose, etc.).
- Design and maintain event-driven ingestion pipelines and ensure availability, scalability, security, and privacy compliance.
- Provide tooling, documentation, monitoring, and operational ownership for services you build.
- Mentor colleagues, share best practices, and drive platform adoption.

Requirements:
- Strong Python programming skills; familiarity with TypeScript/Java or JVM languages is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native AWS services and deploying via IaC (CDK or Terraform).
- Solid DevOps foundations: CI/CD, containers, monitoring, and alerting.
- Working knowledge of table/data formats (Apache Iceberg, Parquet, Protobuf) and data pipelines.
- Practical experience applying AI in data contexts to automate tasks and accelerate development.
- Nice-to-have: exposure to data governance/GDPR, SQL across analytical/transactional DBs, Airflow, and data APIs.
