Responsibilities:
- Act as UK Product Owner for SanTalk: set product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritised backlog for customer-facing AI across contact centres, chat, and digital channels.
- Lead end-to-end delivery, UK rollout, operation, and continuous improvement of SanTalk solutions.
- Translate customer journeys, business priorities, and user feedback into prioritised AI use cases, product requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Represent Santander UK in Group product forums and influence platform/feature development with technology partners.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams (data scientists, engineers, product, ops) and ensure production readiness, governance, and measurement of customer, operational, and financial value.
- Define monitoring, evaluation metrics, and experimentation strategies to measure impact and risks.
Requirements:
- 6+ years experience in data science, applied AI, or advanced analytics, with demonstrable leadership of AI projects from prototype to production.
- Strong skills in ML, NLP, generative/conversational AI, and MLOps practices.
- Proven product ownership experience: roadmap management, backlog prioritisation, and stakeholder management across complex organisations.
- Experience with responsible AI, model governance, and operating in regulated environments (risk management, consumer duty preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders; degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Contact-centre or conversational-AI experience preferred.
