Responsibilities:
- Own the OS lifecycle: build, adapt, package and release Debian/Ubuntu images (amd64 and ARM) and manage OTA/dual-boot/update mechanisms.
- Integrate kernel changes and coordinate kernel-userspace boundary work: apply patches, validate drivers and maintain hardware abstraction layers.
- Build and maintain system services and platform tooling (D-Bus daemons, system utilities) to enable field debugging and reliable device operation.
- Integrate media and graphics stacks (V4L2, OpenGL/Vulkan, vendor userspace blobs) and coordinate kernel/application teams for compatibility.
- Develop userspace modules for sensors (GNSS/GPS), timestamping, NTRIP forwarding and camera/media handling for real-time mapping.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines for image builds and testing, and collaborate with embedded and application teams on releases.

Requirements:
- 5+ years in embedded Linux platform engineering with hands-on experience on ARM platforms.
- Strong C/C++ skills and experience working at the kernel/userspace boundary, including kernel patches and driver integration.
- Experience building Linux images, packaging for Debian/Ubuntu and managing update mechanisms at scale.
- Familiarity with systemd, D-Bus, V4L2, graphics stacks (OpenGL/Vulkan) and vendor userspace integration.
- Experience with sensor integration, GNSS/GPS, precise timestamping and camera pipeline troubleshooting (OpenCV level fixes).
- Comfortable working with CI/CD for firmware/OS builds and coordinating across firmware, kernel and application teams.
