About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain embedded C/C++ software for automotive ECUs (bare-metal and RTOS).
- Develop and integrate low-level drivers, communication stacks (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet) and diagnostics (UDS).
- Configure and integrate software within AUTOSAR Classic or similar platforms; own application integration.
- Contribute to ISO 26262 functional-safety activities: requirements, safety analyses, unit/integration testing.
- Debug and verify on target hardware using debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and HIL rigs.
- Ensure code quality via reviews, static analysis (MISRA C), CI pipelines and test automation.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, test engineers and product owners.
Requirements:
- Minimum ~7 years professional embedded SW experience, primarily in C (C++ is a plus).
- Hands-on with 32-bit microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M/R, Infineon AURIX, NXP S32 or similar).
- Practical experience with automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and UDS diagnostics.
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic or comparable automotive platforms.
- Working knowledge of ISO 26262, MISRA C, requirements traceability and safety-critical processes.
- Proficient with Git, CI tooling, unit-test frameworks and target hardware debugging.
- Professional English and based in Gothenburg or willing to relocate (relocation support available).
- Preferred: experience with restraint/ADAS/braking systems, MATLAB/Simulink, Embedded Linux, Rust/Python tooling, ISO/SAE 21434 or Swedish language skills.
