Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain backend services and APIs (primarily Python; contribute to Node.js/TypeScript services as needed).
- Deliver end-to-end features: data models, service architecture, APIs and React+TypeScript UIs.
- Make pragmatic architectural decisions to improve reliability, security, maintainability and performance.
- Design and implement integrations between internal apps, production systems and external services.
- Participate in deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting in cloud environments; support CI/CD and containerized workflows.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation and team engineering practices; progressively support team coordination and priority tracking.
Requirements:
- 5+ years professional software engineering experience with deep backend expertise, especially in Python.
- Experience with FastAPI (or similar), SQLAlchemy and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- Practical experience with Node.js/TypeScript, React and frontend-backend collaboration.
- Familiarity with cloud deployment, CI/CD, containerization and observability/monitoring tools.
- Strong system-design, debugging, code-review and documentation skills; effective communicator with an ownership mindset and willingness to take on coordination responsibilities.
