Senior Rust Software Engineer - Banking Platform (m/f/x) at Scalable GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement latency-sensitive Rust services that process time-critical financial data.
- Develop robust, testable business and financial logic with strong correctness guarantees.
- Build and maintain streaming pipelines for real-time input, event processing, and feedback loops.
- Profile and benchmark CPU, memory and network to locate and remove performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate on API design, data models and distributed system architecture.
- Improve observability and reliability: metrics, logs, traces, alerts and runbooks.
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring and cross-team coordination for production readiness.

Requirements:
- University degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep Rust proficiency: ownership, lifetimes, concurrency, async, error handling and testing.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS and Terraform in production environments.
- Proven track record building low-latency, high-throughput services and streaming/event-driven systems.
- Strong systems thinking: latency, throughput, backpressure, failure modes and trade-offs.
- Experience with profiling, benchmarking and performance tuning.
- Clear communicator able to work with engineering, product and stakeholders.
- Passion for well-architected, documented, and testable code; DDD and distributed systems experience a plus.
