About the role

Responsibilities:
- Lead detection, investigation and response for incidents across cloud providers, SaaS, identity providers and endpoints.
- Develop and maintain detection-as-code, SOAR automations and response playbooks; treat detection logic as version-controlled production code.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and operationalize threat intelligence to detect sophisticated or novel threats beyond baseline alerts.
- Perform forensic analysis to determine scope, impact and root cause of incidents and coordinate containment and remediation actions.
- Integrate detection and response capabilities into CI/CD and supply chain workflows; investigate suspicious build or dependency behavior.
- Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to bake security into development processes and provide training on incident response and secure practices.

Requirements:
- 7+ years in threat detection, security operations or incident response with hands-on cloud, identity and SaaS incident experience.
- Strong Python skills for automation and detection development; familiarity with Bash, Go or TypeScript is a plus.
- Practical experience with SIEM/EDR tools (Panther, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Elastic Security) and detection-as-code methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, forensic techniques, audit logging and IAM principles; experience with CI/CD and software supply chain investigations.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with engineers and presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

7+ years in threat detection, security operations, or incident response, with practical knowledge across cloud platforms, identity providers, and SaaS applications. Proficient in Python for security scripting and automation; hands-on experience with SIEM/EDR (e.g., Panther, CrowdStrike). Familiar with Detection as Code methodologies and MITRE ATT&CK, and capable of collaborating effectively with engineering teams.
