About the role
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end delivery of checkout and post-booking features: refinement, implementation, testing and production rollout.
- Design and build scalable backend services and APIs in collaboration with architects and product stakeholders.
- Implement reliable data flows using PHP/Symfony, relational databases, queues and search (Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ/SQS).
- Contribute to technical and architectural standards, code reviews and mentoring of team members.
- Work with product owners to define requirements, iterate on features and measure performance.
- Build lightweight demos, support integrations with third parties and help troubleshoot production issues.
Requirements:
- 5+ years professional software engineering experience, strong expertise in PHP and Symfony.
- Experience building scalable, distributed systems and designing RESTful APIs; good SQL skills.
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch, message queues, Kubernetes and AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Practical experience with LLM-based tools or building AI-driven solutions is a plus.
- Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and mentoring teammates.
- Good English communication skills and willingness to grow in an international team; visa sponsorship available where stated.
