About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver platform components (Python and Java/Kotlin chassis, project archetypes, business-agnostic services).
- Implement cross-cutting concerns: resilience, security, observability and reusable libraries/plugins (including Claude Plugins).
- Improve performance and reliability of Python services; lead delivery of roadmap items with the team.
- Collaborate with product, design and other engineers to define technical vision and prioritize platform needs.
- Mentor peers, contribute to best practices, testing strategies and monitoring for services used across the organization.
Requirements:
- Strong backend engineering background with expert-level Python experience and solid web technology knowledge.
- Experience with SDLC best practices: testing, CI, observability and pragmatic, user-focused development.
- Ability to lead technical design, influence roadmap and deliver scalable, maintainable services.
- Fluent in English and comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
- Bonus: hands-on experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, ADK and ML libraries.
