About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and scale core backend systems that power real-time financial and ERP workflows.
- Architect, implement, and own backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django) and related frameworks.
- Manage PostgreSQL schema design, migrations, performance tuning, and data integrity.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, monitoring, and production runbooks.
- Integrate external systems and handle edge cases, security, and reliability concerns.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate complex accounting requirements into technical designs.
- Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and operational resilience.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience building production-grade systems with complex business logic.
- Strong Python experience; familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, or Django is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs, schema design, and data migrations.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar), CI/CD, and production operations.
- Proven API and system architecture skills for high-throughput, low-latency services.
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ownership, problem-solving mindset, and experience operating complex systems.
