Software Engineer - Backend (all genders) at Shiftmove

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and deliver production-grade backend features (Java/Spring) end-to-end: design, implement, test, deploy and operate.
- Implement integrations (OEM cloud integrations, external APIs) and automation to process large volumes of vehicle and document data.
- Own LLM-based document processing initiatives: integrate, validate and monitor model-driven pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design and customers to translate needs into pragmatic, scalable solutions.
- Propose and evaluate architectural options, balancing speed, cost, scalability and maintainability.
- Improve CI/CD, observability and system reliability; reduce technical debt and promote testing and monitoring best practices.
- Share knowledge through code reviews, documentation and team learning sessions.

Requirements:
- Strong production experience with Java and Spring Boot; proven ability to ship backend services.
- Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency and system design for scalable services.
- Practical experience with APIs, cloud platforms (AWS) and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with LLM/AI-driven processing or willingness to own model-based pipelines.
- Good debugging, testing and CI/CD practices; comfortable owning services in production.
- Product-minded: able to understand user/business impact and translate it into technical trade-offs.
- Strong communication, autonomy and willingness to collaborate across teams.
