About the role
Responsibilities:
- Work with Flow Rates trading desks and quants to gather requirements and turn them into technical solutions for intraday risk and P&L.
- Develop and maintain server-side processes, services and APIs that deliver intraday risk and P&L data to traders.
- Participate in the platform re-architecture and modernization: design, implement and roll out new components.
- Write unit and integration tests, follow CI/CD practices and support deployments and operational stability.
- Collaborate with global team members across London, Tokyo and New York and support on-call/incident responses as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong Java development experience, familiarity with Spring and the software development lifecycle.
- Practical knowledge of unit testing and build tools (JUnit, Maven) and CI systems (Jenkins, Git).
- Exposure to front-office tools, financial products (preferably interest rate products) and market risk concepts.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with traders and quants to deliver solutions.
- Desirable: Python, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS experience and familiarity with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
