Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain backend platform components in Java across the full development lifecycle.
- Embed automated tests in CI/CD pipelines; practice TDD and continuous integration for each change.
- Work with databases, messaging/queueing systems, cloud services and observability tooling to deliver reliable features.
- Participate in production support and incident response; own issues from detection through resolution and post-incident fixes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders and global engineering teams to align delivery with Prime Brokerage needs.
- Identify, escalate and mitigate technical and delivery risks; contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on Java development experience in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Practical knowledge of relational/non-relational databases, messaging/queueing, and cloud platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing frameworks and observability/monitoring tooling.
- Comfortable with production support responsibilities and incident management processes.
- Good system-design skills and experience building scalable, fault-tolerant services.
- Strong communication, collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional and global teams.
