Responsibilities:
- Design and execute test plans for backend systems: APIs, services, and database interactions.
- Validate REST APIs (functionality and performance) using Postman, Swagger or similar tools.
- Verify database operations, queries, and data integrity for PostgreSQL-backed systems.
- Develop and maintain automated backend tests and integration suites.
- Review pull requests to ensure test coverage and enforce quality standards.
- Participate in infrastructure reviews to detect reliability and performance risks.
- Document test cases, defects, and results using TestRail or equivalent.

Requirements:
- ~2–3 years in backend testing or development-in-test roles.
- Practical experience with Node.js and TypeScript in server environments.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on PostgreSQL experience for validating data integrity.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and test automation frameworks.
- Experience with integration and performance testing practices.
- Comfortable reviewing code and infrastructure changes with engineers.
- Good problem-solving, communication skills, and willingness to work onsite in Lisbon (relocation support available).
