About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain Kubernetes controllers and operators in Golang that power Managed Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain components responsible for VM provisioning, networking, volumes, firewall rules and load-balancing integration with Leaseweb Public Cloud.
- Create and manage Helm charts, ArgoCD pipelines and CI/CD that automate cluster delivery and lifecycle management.
- Ensure platform availability, scalability and reliability; troubleshoot, reproduce and resolve complex production issues.
- Research, evaluate and recommend tools or improvements; contribute to open-source projects where appropriate.
- Participate in agile backlog refinement with the Product Owner and share on-call (EOD) responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience programming in Golang and developing Kubernetes operators/controllers and CRDs.
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, ArgoCD and cluster lifecycle concepts.
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, virtualization and Linux system fundamentals.
- Experience with observability (Prometheus/Grafana), debugging distributed systems and ensuring operational reliability.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, infrastructure-as-code and automated testing.
- Comfortable working in agile/scrum teams, contributing to OSS and participating in on-call rotation.
