Responsibilities:
- Implement core platform services: request path, rate limiting, quota enforcement, and other production-grade API infrastructure.
- Build the metering and billing layer: usage capture, attribution per workflow, and systems for consumption- and outcome-based pricing.
- Develop workflow deployment machinery: registration, routing, scaling and isolation for user workflows (including dedicated containers where needed).
- Create client SDKs and libraries used by customers in primary languages, plus internal tooling for deployment and operations.
- Collaborate with the Lead API Platform Architect and reliability engineers to turn architecture into production systems.
Requirements:
- Strong backend/production engineering experience building distributed, high-throughput services at scale.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust and familiarity with cloud services and container orchestration.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS concerns: metering, billing, rate limiting, quota enforcement and observability.
- Ability to build client SDKs and developer-facing tooling; attention to reliability, API ergonomics and operational needs.
- Comfortable in a build-heavy role that requires translating architected designs into robust production services.
