About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (21+) and Spring Boot.
- Build and evolve RESTful APIs, ensuring consistency, compatibility, and high performance across services.
- Architect and operate cloud-native systems on AWS; manage deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
- Own production systems and take responsibility for reliability, observability, and fault handling.
- Work on high-traffic, real-time, geo-located applications and optimize for scalability and cost.
- Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to deliver end-to-end features and unified APIs.
- Apply testing disciplines (unit, integration, contract) and contribute to CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Requirements:
- Strong professional experience in backend development with Java (Java 21+ preferred) and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and common observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Solid testing and quality practices, plus experience with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform or similar IaC tools.
- Track record building systems for high traffic and low latency, with focus on clean architecture and maintainability.
- Experience working in Agile teams and good collaboration and communication skills.
