Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end ownership of backend services powering high-traffic mobile experiences using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Architect and implement scalable, maintainable solutions including Kotlin-based AWS Lambdas and containerized workloads.
- Improve reliability via observability, logging, metrics, alerting and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with platform teams to deploy and run services on Kubernetes and developer-friendly infrastructure.
- Design and document clear APIs for cross-team integration and act as a mentor for cross-functional engineers.
- Influence technical direction and continuously improve processes for greater product impact.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of backend/software engineering experience, preferably in JVM-based systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot in production-grade services.
- Solid track record with AWS (Lambda, container workloads) and familiarity with cloud-native patterns.
- Experience with observability tooling, monitoring practices and operational excellence.
- Comfortable working with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and API design principles.
- Good communication skills, collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor others.
