Responsibilities:
- Design and lead implementation of data flows connecting operational systems to analytics and BI platforms.
- Identify opportunities to reuse existing data pipelines and apply best-practice patterns.
- Lead the build and operationalisation of data streaming systems and integrations.
- Optimize code and processes for performance, reliability and maintainability.
- Monitor data products, investigate incidents, and resolve issues across services.
- Produce clear technical documentation and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.

Requirements:
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated data solutions and streaming architectures.
- Strong knowledge of data integration, ETL/ELT patterns, and cloud-based data services.
- Experience with performance optimisation, monitoring and troubleshooting production data systems.
- Ability to lead technical work, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor colleagues.
- Familiarity with data governance, security and accessibility principles relevant to public sector data.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to inclusive, user-focused delivery.
