About the role
Responsibilities:
- Apply quantitative and engineering skills to design and deliver practical AI and data-science solutions for ambiguous, zero-to-one problems.
- Use agentic AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as part of daily development workflows.
- Prototype models and pipelines, validate with experiments, and iterate quickly based on results and business needs.
- Own projects end-to-end in a fast-moving startup environment: set priorities, communicate progress, and deliver production-ready work.
- Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to translate technical findings into actionable product decisions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience in AI/ML, software engineering, mathematics, data science, or a similarly quantitative field.
- Strong mathematical rigor (selective quantitative degree, PhD, or equivalent depth of experience).
- Prior experience working effectively in early-stage startups or high-ambiguity settings; able to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Daily hands-on use of agentic AI coding tools or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Excellent practical problem-solving, strong communication, and willingness to work in a high-intensity team environment.
