About the role
Responsibilities:
- Act as UK Product Owner for SanTalk: set vision, roadmap, prioritised backlog and delivery plans for customer-facing AI across contact centres, chat and digital channels.
- Translate user journeys, business priorities and colleague feedback into AI use cases, product requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate delivery, rollout and ongoing operation with UK teams, Group platform teams and technology partners.
- Lead deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement of conversational AI models; ensure governance, responsible-AI practices and regulatory controls.
- Run experiments, measure value and operational performance, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 6–8 years’ experience in data science, applied AI or advanced analytics with a track record of delivering production AI solutions.
- Strong expertise in ML/NLP and generative/conversational AI and experience operationalising models at scale.
- Product ownership skills: roadmap setting, backlog prioritisation, stakeholder management and delivery leadership.
- Familiarity with model governance, responsible AI, monitoring and regulated environments (e.g., consumer duty, risk controls).
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Own the UK SanTalk product vision, roadmap, delivery, rollout, and ongoing improvement for customer-facing AI across contact centres, chat, and digitally assisted channels. Lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with UK and Group stakeholders and technology partners to deliver secure, reliable, production-ready solutions while managing performance, value, governance, and risk.
Requirements
Requires 6–8 years of experience in data science, applied AI, or advanced analytics, including leading complex AI solutions from concept to production, and an undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Candidates should bring strong machine learning, NLP, generative AI, product lifecycle, technical leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities; customer-facing or conversational AI experience is preferred.
