Responsibilities:
- Design and implement latency-sensitive Rust services that process high-frequency financial data with strong correctness guarantees.
- Build and maintain real-time streaming pipelines: ingest, event processing, decisioning, and feedback loops.
- Profile and benchmark services to optimize CPU, memory, and network usage; implement backpressure and graceful degradation strategies.
- Develop robust, well-tested financial logic with comprehensive observability (metrics, logging, tracing) and automated tests.
- Collaborate on API design, data models, and overall system architecture; participate in cross-team design reviews.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to code quality, documentation, and deployment practices.
Requirements:
- University degree (or comparable) in CS, engineering, or related field.
- Strong Rust skills: ownership, lifetimes, concurrency, async patterns, and error handling.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS, Terraform and production microservices.
- Proven background building low-latency, high-throughput systems in production.
- Deep systems thinking: latency, throughput, backpressure, failure modes, and profiling tools.
- Experience with distributed architectures, domain-driven design, and performance benchmarking.
- Clear communicator comfortable working with engineering and product stakeholders.
- Passion for testable, well-documented code; experience with AI-assisted coding tools is a plus.
