Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the Repayment Scheduling service area; lead technical delivery from design through production.
- Drive design and implementation of backend systems that schedule and orchestrate payments at scale.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Analytics to define requirements, trade-offs, and technical constraints.
- Operate production systems: define and monitor metrics, participate in on-call rotations, and improve reliability.
- Mentor teammates, set code/design standards, and foster a culture of quality, ownership, and measurable impact.
- Proactively identify technical, process, or product risks and lead remediation efforts.

Requirements:
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience building and operating production systems using Python or Kotlin.
- Experience with distributed systems and reliability patterns; familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and MySQL.
- Strong system design skills: can define elegant, extensible technical plans for substantial features.
- Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and production monitoring/alerting practices.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to influence cross-functional partners and mentor peers.
- Track record of shipping impactful features in agile, fast-paced environments.
