Responsibilities:
- Lead design and delivery of Identity systems (KYC, user lifecycle, decisioning) for international markets.
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical projects and quarterly goals; own delivery end-to-end.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics and partner teams to define requirements, trade-offs, and integration points.
- Improve operational health: define metrics, create runbooks, support monitoring, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Mentor engineers, raise code and review standards, and contribute to hiring and onboarding.
- Identify cross-cutting risks and advocate for technical investments that improve scalability, availability and compliance.

Requirements:
- 4+ years of backend development experience using Python or Kotlin in production systems.
- Experience building distributed systems on AWS with relational datastores (e.g., MySQL) and Kubernetes.
- Strong system design skills, ability to reason about scale, availability and regulatory constraints.
- Clear communicator able to work across teams and present technical trade-offs to stakeholders.
- Experience with identity, fraud, KYC or regulatory systems is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ownership, mentoring ability, and focus on long-term maintainability and operational excellence.
