Responsibilities:
- Identify reliability, performance and compliance improvements across critical backend microservices.
- Design and implement reusable automation, libraries and patterns for resiliency, autoscaling, capacity planning and redundancy.
- Work hands-on with product teams to deep-dive into services, propose best practices and implement reliability fixes.
- Improve observability and monitoring to surface issues earlier and reduce MTTR.
- Collaborate across Platform, Product and Engineering to drive org-wide reliability initiatives.

Requirements:
- Strong software engineering background with experience building and operating microservices in Kubernetes/cloud environments.
- Hands-on coding experience in Java or another backend language and comfort deploying changes to production systems.
- Knowledge of observability, performance optimisation, capacity planning and autoscaling strategies.
- Good troubleshooting skills for distributed systems and relational/datastore issues.
- Collaborative mindset, ability to influence cross-functional teams and a focus on automation and scalable solutions.
