Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and operate backend services that manage delinquent loans and recovery workflows.
- Collaborate with product, backbook risk, and analytics teams to define and deliver recovery strategies.
- Break larger initiatives into phased deliverables; write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
- Maintain system reliability: create and monitor metrics, participate in on-call rotation, and support incident response.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor peers, and contribute to hiring and team growth activities.

Requirements:
- 2.5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin and experience launching backend systems.
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and operational tooling (AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes).
- Strong debugging, system design, testing, and code-review skills.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and participating in on-call duties; based in Spain.
