Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems and data pipelines that deliver accurate, timely consumer credit data to consumer reporting agencies.
- Partner with Product, Compliance, Servicing, and Credit teams to translate requirements into robust reporting solutions and surface technical trade-offs.
- Break down larger projects into phased deliverables, coordinate with tech lead/manager, and deliver on schedule.
- Own operational reliability: define metrics, build monitoring and alerts, participate in on-call rotation, and respond to incidents.
- Contribute to team growth through code reviews, debugging, mentoring peers, and participating in hiring.

Requirements:
- 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer with backend development exposure.
- Proficient in Python or Kotlin with strong software engineering practices (testing, clear readable code, documentation).
- Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Spark.
- Experience building data pipelines and integrating multiple software components into end-to-end solutions.
- Strong debugging skills, ability to navigate large codebases, effective verbal/written communication, and ownership mindset.
