Staff Platform Engineer at TradingView

Responsibilities:
- Design and evolve a hybrid cloud platform (on-prem + AWS) and abstractions for cross-environment deployment.
- Build and improve the Internal Developer Platform and unified developer portal (Backstage/custom IDP).
- Unify provisioning, management, and operational workflows for Kubernetes across EKS and bare-metal clusters.
- Implement platform automation: CLI tools, services, and Kubernetes operators (primarily in Go).
- Integrate bare-metal infrastructure (networking, storage, BGP, Linstor/GlusterFS) into the platform layer.
- Define technical strategy and mentor senior engineers across platform and product teams.

Requirements:
- 5+ years in infrastructure/systems engineering, with 2+ years operating at staff/principal/lead level.
- Deep expertise in AWS (EKS, VPC, Direct Connect), Terraform/OpenTofu, and Kubernetes internals (CRDs, controllers).
- Strong Go experience for platform tooling and controllers; solid IaC and GitOps knowledge (ArgoCD).
- Experience with IDP concepts, developer experience practices, and production observability.
- Practical understanding of hybrid networking and Zero Trust security principles.
- Nice-to-have: KubeVirt, Cilium, OpenTelemetry, and FinOps/TCO experience.
