Applied AI Engineer, Beneficial Deployments at Anthropic

Responsibilities:
- Act as a deep technical partner for mission-driven organizations: advise on evaluations, agent architectures, context engineering, and cost optimization.
- Provide hands-on engineering support: pair program, prototype, and contribute code to accelerate partner projects.
- Build ecosystem-level tooling and public goods: create benchmarks, MCPs, Agent Skills, and shared infrastructure to scale impact.
- Identify and surface partner-specific challenges to product, engineering, and research teams.
- Produce scalable technical content: docs, tutorials, sample code, demos, and presentations to enable partner self-service.
- Contribute to team processes and culture as the program scales; occasionally travel for workshops and technical deep dives.

Requirements:
- 4+ years as a software engineer, forward deployed engineer, or technical founder with production experience shipping LLM-powered applications.
- Hands-on experience in prompting, context engineering, agent design, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and builder credibility; able to earn trust with technical founders and engineering teams.
- Experience or familiarity with mission-driven sectors (education, healthcare, research, nonprofits) and their operational constraints.
- Comfortable mentoring, teaching, and working in ambiguous, resource-constrained environments; pragmatic and scrappy mindset.
- Strong communication skills for technical presentations, documentation, and partner collaboration.
