Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Model and manage data on Supabase/PostgreSQL, including functions, RLS, and real-time features.
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud services on GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, IAM).
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; maintain CI/CD pipelines and participate in code reviews.
- Apply Clean Code and Clean Architecture principles to ensure maintainability.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection measures.
- Set up observability (logs, metrics, alerts) and lead reliability improvements and incident response.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience delivering production services.
- Deep knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL-centric backends.
- Hands-on cloud experience with serverless deployments and GCP tooling.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest), CI/CD, and modern Git workflows.
- Strong system design, security awareness, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work onsite in Lisbon (relocation assistance available).
