Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with frontend, product and DevOps/platform teams to design and deliver backend features in an Agile/Kanban workflow.
- Implement scalable, reliable server-side components and APIs used by tens of thousands of users.
- Define technical requirements, choose implementation approaches and trade-offs that meet product goals.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests; follow TDD and testing best practices.
- Conduct and participate in peer code reviews, retrospectives and continuous improvement activities.
- Improve platform architecture, performance and developer experience (linters, templates, code generation).
- Work with message brokers, RDBMS and async systems to ensure robustness and observability.

Requirements:
- 5+ years backend development experience.
- 2+ years working with a strongly typed language (TypeScript preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with RDBMS (raw queries or ORM) and designing reliable data access patterns.
- Practiced in unit and integration testing and test-driven development.
- Experience with message brokers (SNS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, etc.).
- Familiarity with Node.js, GraphQL, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), gRPC and protobufs is a plus.
- Good understanding of SOLID principles, clean architecture and pragmatic engineering trade-offs.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and contributing beyond code to product and UX improvements.
