Responsibilities:
- Relocate to Norfolk, VA (NATO-5 visa provided) to implement hands-on data engineering across the portfolio.
- Design, build and maintain repeatable ingestion and transformation pipelines from multiple sources.
- Establish data models, shared definitions, business rules and automated quality checks.
- Prototype and deploy digital collection/workflow tools to reduce manual reporting.
- Create dashboards, KPIs and visualisations that surface status, dependencies and decision triggers.
- Apply descriptive and diagnostic analytics and use predictive methods when they materially affect decisions.
- Document sources, transformations, lineage and operating procedures for reliable handover.
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant discipline (data science, CS, information systems, engineering, OR, statistics) or equivalent experience.
- Recent, demonstrable end-to-end delivery experience from requirement to operational solution.
- At least three of the last five years in data integration/engineering and at least two of the last five years using SQL and an analytical language.
- Experience building BI/visualisation products, data modelling, quality and governance practices.
- Track record working with operational users and programme teams; fluent professional English.
