Responsibilities:
- Ensure teams deliver high-quality software predictably by setting priorities, standards, and commitments.
- Lead people management: coaching, performance reviews, career growth, and team morale.
- Own recruitment: define hiring criteria, interview, evaluate, and onboard talent.
- Partner with Product to set roadmaps, negotiate scope, and minimize unnecessary rework.
- Promote effective AI-led engineering: introduce agent workflows, guardrails, and best practices.
- Stay technically engaged (~1 day/week) for architecture input, code reviews, and focused work.
- Close customer interaction to align engineering outcomes with real-world logistics needs.
- Continuously improve delivery processes using metrics and eliminating bottlenecks.
Requirements:
- Experience managing software teams with a track record of hiring and development.
- Strong backend and architecture skills with enough depth to influence technical decisions.
- Proven delivery of product features on schedule and to quality standards.
- Practical interest in AI-assisted development and evolving agent-driven workflows.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for distributed teams.
